“Sleepyhead” was a short movie completed for my Digital Field Production class with my classmate, Ikia Walker. This assignment was a challenge to write because the location (a local High School) had already been selected before ever putting pen to paper. Additionally, I had never written a horror story! So, with these conditions, I wrote a short screenplay, drew storyboards, gathered wardrobe and helped cast actors – and, of course, helped shoot the film. “Sleepyhead” also afforded me the opportunity to expand my handcrafting skills. I’m really proud of the nifty props I constructed! It was truly a valuable learning experience.
